Creativity, Insight and Change

_G2A0176_low_res

What an exciting week filled with much creativity, insight and change.

Presently, I’m re-branding; new photos, and a new theme for my website and blog. I’ve loved every single moment. Everything has flowed with such ease through many hours of dedicated time.

My web designer Neri from Sacred Spaces had been so attentive, creative and intuitive with my needs for my new look and feel. Love you Neri.

The photo shoot, styling and re-branding by Helen Robinett was one of the most brilliant experiences. Helen really saw me, spent the time to know my business and moved in a way that was encouraging, creative and fun. I received so much more, and my confidence and clarity in my business and life direction have amplified. Thank you, Helen.

During and after the photo shoot something beautiful and unexpected emerged.

The power of the feminine that I have for far too long hidden, breathed a sigh and illuminated with such gentleness. When I connected with her essence, it reminded me how others had often seen my gentleness as a weakness and how I’d taken that on and denied that part of me.

Owning and embracing my gentleness with all of my heart, I felt such quiet strength and inner calm. That feeling was real and has integrated and strengthened me beyond what I could imagine. I feel more authentically me, confident and fearless.

My shift in consciousness and transformation has been due to my commitment to myself these past two years, and my deep soul healing. We are worth it, my friends, don’t hesitate in putting yourself first, and remember fear is an illusion.

Wow, what a week!

Reflection in Rhyme

_G2A0110_low_res

Love days where you sit down, turn off all devices and connect within your body and feel into whatever creativity wants to come forth.

Interesting, as I sat, a poem or should I say rhyme I wrote in a matter of seconds on the 23rd January popped into my head. I re-read it and wondered, “What was I thinking?” Then, on further reading, I understood.

Are you curious?

Laughing well maybe I’ll wait and see what your thoughts are, and what it would mean for you.

Love the way the unconscious articulates to bring awareness 😉

Trouble, trouble

Pairs or doubles

Toil and foil

Linen soiled

Let me shine the light to see

Honey, there is nothing but you and me

Dreams or visions

Money or fame

Let the game begin

Today hooray!

How Sound Affects Your Life

SibylFeb2018

First Published in Sibyl Magazine February 2018

Have you ever wondered why certain sounds and noises create an emotional and physical response?

For example, a shrilling scream may sound piercing to the ears and create a feeling of dread in the stomach. You instantly hold your breath and listen, then it quickens as your brain is assessing, and the primal response of flight or fight kicks in. Your legs are either light and ready to run or heavy and paralysed as the adrenaline shoots through your system.

There’s the opposite like when you hear the sound of the ocean and the waves caressing the sand. A feeling of lightness and calm flow through your body, your breathing slows, and the mind becomes silent and peaceful. Your awareness heightens, and you smell the salt in the air, feel the slight breeze kissing your face, and the sun’s warmth on your skin brings a gentle comfort. Then, your body naturally takes a deep soulful breath in and out.

We are an incredible spiritual being in a human body, and our connection to Mother Earth brings us back into harmony, balance and alignment.

All sound has its frequency and accordingly creates a response such as the sound of your voice. Have you ever noticed some voice tones grate, and others soothe?

We often fill our lives with harsh noises by what we choose to listen to through television, radio, music, etc. I’m not saying we should incubate ourselves and not experience all of what life has to offer. I’m sharing how important it is to create balance and make a conscious choice to recalibrate and re-harmonise our body, mind and spirit.

Last year I had a near death experience which caused ill health for some time. My brain was in a fog, I couldn’t articulate and remember simple words, and I was listless. Loving friends visited and gave me DVD’s to watch, cooked me meals and sat to keep me company. Their intentions were pure, but the sound and frequency of their voices caused my brain distress, and very quickly my body responded, I felt nauseous and the colour on my face turned grey as my energy depleted. I couldn’t watch the DVD’s or television because it did the same.

My body and brain needed silence to heal, and then along the way, the sounds and movement in nature were my gifts, and then I began to recalibrate and move my healing to another level by chanting and singing.

Then, I chose the music and DVD’s I could listen to and watch, and I recognised the sounds that soothed and uplifted my energy and those that agitated and drained it.

This experience although difficult taught me so much about how we respond energetically to our environment, and the importance of having this awareness for our health and wellbeing.

You are an incredible human being made up of trillions of cells. It’s time to nurture, harmonise and recalibrate, and take responsibility for your energy, and wellness will be your reward.
