🌿 “Your soul already knows the way. Trust the whisper within.”
It’s always such a joy to connect with you and I trust something in this blog will resonate with you.
Before writing this message I took the time to listen within to find my inspiration.
During that quiet space, I was reminded of my corporate days when I would encourage my staff to take a ‘mental health day’. I found this was an opportunity for them to recharge, reconnect, and take a break from the pressures of work and deadlines.
It got me thinking…
Perhaps you, too, are feeling a nudge, to act, to pause, or to do something that makes your heart sing and nourishes your spirit.
I know when I consciously choose to listen to those inner nudges, the fog seems to lift. I feel lighter, more aligned, and often, creative ideas flow.
I’ve fallen in love with that gentle, loving voice within — the one that reminds me to live my life, not just exist within it.
We can all get caught up in the ‘shoulds’, those quiet demands we place upon ourselves, sometimes inherited or habitual, often laced with guilt.
But what if we shifted the word should, to could?
Should can feel heavy and constrictive.
Could offers possibility. It reconnects us to our free-will and opens the door to choice.
So, my friend…
- Are you ready to create healthy strategies and boundaries that support how you want to live?
- Are you weary of the same old stories that keep you in the same loop?
- Are you willing to release what dims your light and explore what life is waiting to offer you?
I know how easy it is to feel trapped, and yet, I would love to see you open your heart to fresh perspectives and embrace new possibilities, even the smallest ones.
There’s a saying:
“If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always got.”
Sometimes, the smallest shift opens the biggest door. And while change can feel scary, it also holds the potential for freedom.
🌿 Remember, you always have a choice, it’s your birth right.
Here are some simple steps to help shift perspective and nourish your spirit:
Take a Pause, even briefly – Give yourself permission to stop and breathe. Step outside for five minutes. Place your hand on your heart and simply ask, What do I need right now? The answers may surprise you in its simplicity.
Rewrite One Should’ into a ‘Could – Notice one recurring ‘should’ in your self-talk and reframe it as a ‘could.’
For example, instead of: “I should be more organised.”
Try: “I could create space to feel more organised. What might support that?”
This subtle shift restores your power and opens you to choice.
Create a Soul List – Jot down 3–5 things that uplift and nourish you. They don’t need to be grand. A quiet walk, music, time with a pet, a creative moment, whatever connects you back to you.
When life gets full, your soul list becomes a beautiful reference to bring you back to centre.
Practice One Small Act of Courage – Is there something your heart has been nudging you toward? One small step to making that phone call, saying no, or journaling your truth can bring tremendous relief and inner alignment.
Courage isn’t loud. Sometimes, it’s just a whisper you choose to follow.
My friend, you are not alone in feeling the pull for something more; more ease, more meaning, more connection. Life will always have its challenges, but within you is a quiet wisdom that knows the way forward. Trust that voice.
🌿Even the smallest step taken with love can create lasting change.
