When It’s Time to Do Nothing

Interesting concept and for some incredibly hard to do.

Are you the type that while sitting and watching a movie or television, or while waiting for an appointment is also answering emails, messaging, checking social media? Or are your thoughts on an expedition to somewhere land?

Have you ever started one thing, stopped part way and began another then tried to remember what you were initially doing?

Have you ever felt the need to rest, but you chose to ignore it?

I have done every one of these, and I’m hoping there are some heads nodding. If not, you may not want to read any further.

Sometimes we are receiving nudges just to do NOTHING!

Stop thinking! Stop doing and take a break!

It’s okay, give it a go what are a few moments, an hour or a day.

I call it for me, getting out of my way. Let’s face it, we all have to deal with challenges, schedules and so on and often our greatest block is ourselves, and especially that opponent within the mind that wants to control.

What’s the best way to clear a block?

Step back, take a breath, ground and become present.

Then, get out of the stories, unplug and reconnect with you. I’m talking about realigning with your innate wisdom for when in alignment everything flows; creativity, happiness, simplicity, clarity, direction, love .. I’m sure you know what I mean because you’ve been there.

So, in this week’s blog, my message is to be aware of the opponent that comes from the head in its words of should’s and the what if’s that polarise and distract.

Allow space, become an empty vessel, you DON’T HAVE to DO ANYTHING just enjoy the moment.

Taking time to do nothing is an investment, and you’d be surprised how the ideas and clarity drift in when you create the space.

You’ll have a renewed energy that is focused and meaningful, with purpose and passion ignited.

Until next week,
