There’s A Ripple Effect

Something is inviting when I walk into my local café. Something happens to inspire my writing. Hard to believe amongst all of the chatter, coffee machine noise, clanging of plates and cutlery, children screaming, and then, oh then, the aroma that filters into my nostrils as the scent of delicious food is being cooked in the kitchen. Laughing, bliss.

Are you one of those people that love to observe others? Does it amuse you when a child screams loudly, and you see someone look over disapprovingly? Or are you that person? At that moment, I make no judgement, just observe, and continue to write, but I do so love to people watch. It’s as if each movement, sound, and look become apart of my story. How often do we find that in our life? How often do we speak someone else’s words or find ourselves entwined in another’s feelings? For many of us, if we are true to ourselves, and take a moment to witness ourselves, I’d say often. I know a bold statement!

We are influenced by our environment far more than we consciously realise. We are also affected by our environment more often than we’d like to admit. Sometimes, the experience can inspire and enlighten us, where other times, not so. Do you realise we have the power to affect change with how we are, what we say and do, and who we are? We are incredible human beings, and we have a responsibility not only to ourselves but also the impact we make upon this earth and those we share the air with. Phew… that sounds so heavy, and I know it may feel a little overwhelming, yet it could be as light and bright as you choose it to be, or as heavy as you want.

The magic begins in the heart – every seed of inspiration magically grows as you breathe life into it. When we are in alignment with our heart, our path opens unobstructed, and the universe breathes life into our dreams. What if your dreams could inspire many others? What if your smile directed to a stranger gave them hope? What if recycling your waste inspired change in another just by observing you? Wow, how exciting…

We are human, and all have bad moments, days and hardships, and I’m not saying ignore those. I am venturing to share that in those moments we take responsibility for ourselves and ensure that we set loving boundaries to nurture, love and be compassionate to ourselves, and be mindful not to project our pain and discomfort on others. Let us as a collective take responsibility for how we can influence our environment by our actions and our energy. Your actions always affect others. You are most definitely not responsible for another and how they feel, but you are responsible for how you act.

Be the observer and witness yourself, you have the ability and awareness to affect change. Go for it!

Goodbye 2017 and Welcome 2018

goodby 2017 fireworks pic

Gosh, even saying 2018 almost feels space age to me at the tender young age of fifty-seven 😉

I’m sitting at my computer and wondering what could I share as we leave this year behind us, and it pops into my head like this:

–    Value the experiences, don’t judge them.

–    Draw out the wisdom gained.

–    Anchor that wisdom right here, right now.

–    Today is a new day filled with many possibilities.

–    Allow the past to cultivate richness and strength.

–    Move into the future with this knowledge and apply the wisdom.

Each year I choose a word sort of like an intention as to how I want my year to be. This year in 2017 I decided:

SIMPLICITY – to set clear boundaries that serve, love and support me, and to think, speak and act from my heart. To laugh and play a lot, and not take things too seriously.

Did I achieve it? Each time I began complicating my life I remembered my word, connected to my heart and immediately simplified it.  It’s amazing how easy that was to do.

Did I set clear boundaries? I’m getting better, laughing, and having a puppy the latter part of this year certainly helped. By training Maggie and creating her boundaries, surprisingly, it reinforced mine. We’re never alone in our pursuit to learn.

My word for 2018 is:

JOY – My happiness guides me and is the key to all my choices. When I’m happy I’m playful, creative, energised, a master manifestor, and passionate and this will naturally benefit others.

I’d love to read your word for 2018. Be brave my friends and write the word below in the comments. Writing something down with a loving intention creates a wave of magical energy to support you.

As 2017 closes I’ll be in meditation as I’ve done for many years.

I love to begin around ten minutes before the stroke of midnight. I then prepare and align with my heart, and soul, and higher mind and will continue into the new year for however long it flows.

Through my meditation, I expand my light and send healing to our world and especially Mother Earth. I’m also blessed to have received many divinely guided messages, which have supported the next stage of my journey. For this reason, I have next to me a pen and paper to write them down.

Maybe you could try it. If you like you can have a question ready, as you set your intention and align your energy, let go of expectations and meditate. Enjoy the bliss 😊

Well my friends, have an excellent rest of this year, feel the anticipation building and launch into 2018 with a grateful and loving heart.

Until next year,
