A Simple Path

There’s a purpose to all that we do whether that be consciously or unconsciously.

How many times have we driven the same route to work and found ourselves entering the carpark not remembering the journey along the way? In fact, we do that often with simple tasks in our lives that have become habitual.

Of late, I’ve noticed I’m more aware of what I’m doing or saying at that moment. What had changed for me? All I can say is that it was a choice, a conscious one. I desired to breathe in the gift of life and allow it to support, encourage and guide me. I no longer wished to go through my day unconsciously without experiencing the delight, meaning and purpose by being present in my life.

Choosing to be present gifted me the opportunity to process and gain understanding and wisdom in the here and now.

It stopped the unhealthy mind chatter and soaking up of energy that stilted my path by ignoring my feelings, and body, that spoke gently to inspire action for self-love and self-care. Through this understanding, I’ve found life much simpler, and remarkably I’ve embraced my voice and speak it with more clarity and strength. I just love that! In fact,

I’m enjoying life with so much gratitude that my heart sings more often than weeping.

We each have a story in our lives, one that seems to underline or undermine us. It’s associated with the past, and often we don’t even realise we’re re-enacting it daily in our actions, and how we vocalise and interact with ourselves and others, similar to driving our car unconsciously. When we begin to listen to and understand our story, we can choose to make a concerted effort to change, heal, release and move it to where it belongs, in the past.

Listen intently to your words whether they are verbalised out loud, in your head or written down. This awareness will have you as your own counsel and guide your way. Take notice, breathe deeply, ingest each moment as if it were your last. Slow down your thoughts and body so you may feel into each and every event in your life.

It’s so easy to hear and see others but not always ourselves.

I’ve come to appreciate the more grounded I am, the more aware I am at seeing clearly my actions and witnessing my emotion and communication.

Life is a playground of learning, and we complicate it so much by not being present in our lives. The undercurrent, unconscious beliefs and behaviours don’t always serve us.

We, yes, we, have the power to embrace the present, open our awareness and relax into the simplicity it offers.

Don’t let your unconscious behaviours rule your present happiness for you are a child of light gifted with free-will to empower choice in your life.

Choose presence in your life and know the gift of love will surely guide your actions.

Love you, until next time
