Feeling into Life

There comes a time in our healing journey when we have enough awareness to FEEL into our life to create it.

What do I mean by that? It’s following the quiet voice of our heart and knowing the difference between our head and heart. In this ‘feeling space,’ past fears do not influence, its simplicity at its purest. It’s the connection of our heart and soul, leading us through love into self-discovery, adventure, curiosity, gratitude, and living and appreciating life in each moment.

It’s very different from our emotion for our emotion is connected to our ego and emotional body influenced by events in our life and can be erratic and fluctuate. It’s also not our physical mind for our mind is connected to our limited life experience. Imagine each experience made up of an event, emotion and belief placed in a file. Through our day, all of those files work in the background of our subconscious. They steer our way through default settings designed to protect us, yet, those very protections shape our future. Sometimes, these are wonderful, other times, patterns are repeated that undermine our happiness.

In March this year, I wrote an article titled, ‘Birthing New and Profound Love‘. In that article, I shared, “A deep longing poked its head out, something hidden for a long time. You see, I longed to be in a loving relationship, and was now ready to invite my partner into my life.”

Near the end of May, this man walked into my life. They say, “Be careful what you wish for.” It’s so true because our mind and past experience and the emotions connected to those can be as fresh today as they were yesterday. How quickly that mind can speak of past hurts and fears. How easy it would have been to listen and sabotage a new beginning, but I was not the woman of my past. I’d healed much and gained more. So, I decided to lean into my feeling. I focused my attention into my heart centre and felt into it. I was surprised because the feeling was powerful and spoke louder than my head chatter.

It was loving and peaceful, and said, “Maria flow with it, feel into it, be happy, and trust.”

From that day, I’ve flowed with my feeling and listened to the voice of my heart. There has been profound happiness, laughter and detachment from the outcome. Where ever this is going is not as important as to what FEELS TRUE NOW!

In life, we can be as free as we choose. Our physical mind and emotional body are essential, although influenced by the sum of our experience. Our heart and soul connection flows in alignment with our path and connects through our heart centre.

There is profound wisdom, and you have access to it. Your soul is filled with love and wishes you to expand and grow.

TRUST in your soul to lead and keep it simple. Don’t question but flow, and feel the peaceful stirrings of your heart.

Love you, namaste

The Pain in ‘Playing it Safe’

Safe.. hmm ‘playing it safe’ a medley of words put together to enhance one’s own sense of safety.

What does all of this mean when we unscramble the thoughts that are so unhelpful within our egoic perception.

The other day, I experienced an intensity of gut-wrenching pain. I experienced dread in the pit of my stomach I hadn’t felt for a long time. Then the thought came in, “I’ve done something wrong? I’m in trouble.” And then, “How can I fix it?”

This pain came from deep within and was triggered by social media. Someone I knew unliked my page, and another unsubscribed to my mailing list. I know! How could that cause such an extreme reaction, but it did.

After much searching, I had created all sorts of scenarios and concluded that I hadn’t done anything wrong. After all, I’ve also unsubscribed, and it wasn’t personal. So where was this coming from?

And then, I felt it! It was the wounded child crying out who wanted to be loved and always felt she had done something wrong. In desperation, this child did what she could to fix it, but it was never enough.

Then, I realised I had often ‘played it safe.’ Others would differ because I have indeed been on some adventures and taken many risks. But, there was always something inside holding me back, something that kept me small, something that created an empty void, isolation, and aloneness from the rest of the world.

Connection and love were all this child wanted but stuck in her belief, she continued to find a reason to confirm that.

The adult and wise woman I am, knew this was not the case and my heart burst open in gratitude for this strong reaction which alerted me to the fact this poor child was still in pain. So, I sat with her for a while, talked to her, loved her through our tears, and something beautiful and profound happened. The tears turned into tears of joy; they sparkled and danced as my body moved with grace. Together as one, we laughed and giggled and felt whole once again.

I’ve come to realise no matter how much work we’ve done on ourselves. It is in the truth of our emotion that invokes further insight into our subconscious beliefs. Playing it safe is a metaphor, yet it is so true because the subconscious will create parts to keep us safe. At that time, it was important, but as the child grew and experienced life, those reasons were no longer valid, and instead of supporting her growth, it held her back in the past wounded empty state.

The personality ego is a funny thing for it often creates an unreal perception. We watch others often making judgements as they watch us doing the same. There is so much more depth in each of us.

BREATHE my friends, STOP AND LISTEN, FEEL your emotion, and ALLOW IT TO SPEAK TO YOU, then you may heal and create from a conscious and aware state of being.

When Writing Heals

MariaBookSigning

I was reading over some of the Facebook posts I had made during the writing of my book One Path, Many Lights and the below post really touched me and I felt compelled to share it today on my blog.

Facebook note – 5-1-14

I have been sitting at my computer most of today writing my book and have added a new chapter which I never thought I would EVER share in written form.

I have also deleted some writing which was important before, but not so now. I have come to realise this book is like an abstract painting. Layers upon layers, imitating life.

Each stroke of the brush has its own unique colour and shape, all transpiring to create a picture, something visual that one can see and explore. Each person will look at this picture and feel and experience something different and unique to them. Each opinion will vary depending upon their own personal experience, expression and taste.

The timing is right, and I am willing to explore further where it takes me, and no longer fear where it may lead.

The journey continues xx

The new chapter I was talking about was Chapter Eleven – Through the Eyes of the Child … A chapter while writing healed further the inner child and empowered the adult to see with clear and wiser eyes. It offered my readers an opportunity to know me warts and all. It told the story of how often we move through life being driven by unconscious fears and beliefs that weave throughout our life often sabotaging our happiness and freedom.

They say that knowledge is power and it truly is, especially if felt as well as processed with our thinking mind. Writing surprisingly can do that for you and more. It can open you to a higher perspective of you, a deeper more profound soul connection.

Have you ever experienced a profound shift through writing in a journal?

I loved the line, the timing is right, and I am willing to explore further where it takes me, and no longer fear where it may lead. This line is as relevant today as it was then. It can relate to anything within your life – it opens up to possibility setting you free from self-limitations, and offering trust to step up and show you the way.

We all have challenges in our lives, experiences that stretch and move us. Take notice, listen to your body and inner voice, and heal through writing in your journal. Then embrace the lesson, gather the knowledge, put it in your tool box, get into your car and take the driver’s seat.

Don’t let your unhealed feelings and unconscious drive you.

There is profound wisdom within, and happiness flows when we are present and conscious in our life.

Love you x
