Feeling into Life

There comes a time in our healing journey when we have enough awareness to FEEL into our life to create it.

What do I mean by that? It’s following the quiet voice of our heart and knowing the difference between our head and heart. In this ‘feeling space,’ past fears do not influence, its simplicity at its purest. It’s the connection of our heart and soul, leading us through love into self-discovery, adventure, curiosity, gratitude, and living and appreciating life in each moment.

It’s very different from our emotion for our emotion is connected to our ego and emotional body influenced by events in our life and can be erratic and fluctuate. It’s also not our physical mind for our mind is connected to our limited life experience. Imagine each experience made up of an event, emotion and belief placed in a file. Through our day, all of those files work in the background of our subconscious. They steer our way through default settings designed to protect us, yet, those very protections shape our future. Sometimes, these are wonderful, other times, patterns are repeated that undermine our happiness.

In March this year, I wrote an article titled, ‘Birthing New and Profound Love‘. In that article, I shared, “A deep longing poked its head out, something hidden for a long time. You see, I longed to be in a loving relationship, and was now ready to invite my partner into my life.”

Near the end of May, this man walked into my life. They say, “Be careful what you wish for.” It’s so true because our mind and past experience and the emotions connected to those can be as fresh today as they were yesterday. How quickly that mind can speak of past hurts and fears. How easy it would have been to listen and sabotage a new beginning, but I was not the woman of my past. I’d healed much and gained more. So, I decided to lean into my feeling. I focused my attention into my heart centre and felt into it. I was surprised because the feeling was powerful and spoke louder than my head chatter.

It was loving and peaceful, and said, “Maria flow with it, feel into it, be happy, and trust.”

From that day, I’ve flowed with my feeling and listened to the voice of my heart. There has been profound happiness, laughter and detachment from the outcome. Where ever this is going is not as important as to what FEELS TRUE NOW!

In life, we can be as free as we choose. Our physical mind and emotional body are essential, although influenced by the sum of our experience. Our heart and soul connection flows in alignment with our path and connects through our heart centre.

There is profound wisdom, and you have access to it. Your soul is filled with love and wishes you to expand and grow.

TRUST in your soul to lead and keep it simple. Don’t question but flow, and feel the peaceful stirrings of your heart.

Love you, namaste

Who’s Leading the Way?

Life is exciting, I mean it is. It reminds me of metres of yarn of all different textures and colours being knitted together to create an abstract piece of art.

I love that we can have the freedom within our western society to be who we want, and to change it on a whim if we choose. To dye our hair, change our clothing style and even our body shape. God knows many of us are doing that.

I wonder though, with all that aesthetic change does it change the internal workings of who we are? I mean we are the same person, after all, sometimes confident, others times vulnerable. Occasionally free thinking and other times tied up with restrictions and the busyness life can present.

Let me ask, “Do we appreciate the amazing spiritual being we are or do we allow the ego to lead the way and quieten the voice of the soul?” Many of us do just that, so how do we gain a balance, I mean do we want to move from reaction and fear or a place of wholeness and ease. I certainly know what I would choose.

To quieten the thoughts and the ego-self, firstly, we must acknowledge those thoughts and remind ourselves that the ego can be eager fierce and loud in its delivery. The soul, on the other hand, is likened to a monk that sits and watches with much wisdom and a great knowing, but it won’t interfere nor struggle with the loud booming voice of the ego. Mind you. It doesn’t give up. It patiently waits for an opportunity, and when it comes, it surprises with words of wisdom said to a friend, or even, a feeling so strong that it can’t be ignored and guides you in the direction of your path.

Ego is not all bad for it motivates us and moves us to aspire, and it challenges us to be the best we can. The soul, on the other hand, is the fire in the heart that sparks and enriches our desire to do great things with a purpose in this life not only for ourselves but also our world, fuelled by love.

The ego can entangle us in mixed emotion and sway us from seeing the truth. The soul’s voice can move us in a way that seems far too simple, and surprisingly it is.

Can you see through this journey that no wonder we get confused between our head and our heart?

A process my soul’s wisdom shared is to STOP and sit in silence, breathe out allowing all tension to melt away, then raise our attention to just above our head to what I call the higher mind while we have our hands placed lovingly on our heart. It’s through this focus that the head and ego quieten, and we hear the voice and wisdom of our soul and feel the spark of desire and purpose within turn into a flame.
